Bridal wear designer Raishma to unveil Ready to Wear collection

Leading British Asian designer to the stars Raishma is to unveil her new Ready to Wear Collection, with an exclusive preview on Saturday 14th July at her Green Street boutique.

The new collection by Raishma – a pioneering bridal-wear designer whose clients have included Spice Girl Mel B, singer Samantha Mumba, actress Laila Rouass and Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie – features an exquisite range of Day to Evening Wear which fuses Eastern and Western influences.

The collection includes Churidars, trouser suits and dresses and has been reportedly created with the modern woman in mind; combining practicality and glamour.

Raishma says of the new collection: “Asian women have the best of both worlds when it comes to fashion – being able to switch from Asian to Western fashion. But actually I wanted to create a collection that fuses the two worlds – bringing practicality and comfort together with the exotic and glamorous. Creating couture bridal outfits has been my focus for the past 15 years, but my customers have been asking me to design outfits that also fit their daily lives, rather than just for special occasions. The RTW Collection, I believe will do just that, whilst also being incredibly affordable.”

The range will also help raise funds for the international charity the Hashoo Foundation, for which Raishma is a campaigning ambassador.

10% of the sales from the RTW collection will go towards the Foundation and its program helping women in rural Pakistan establish sustainable businesses.

The preview event takes place Saturday 14th July, at 4 pm and is open to the public.
