CM, the Arts Council funded community music organization, has announced it is to reduce fees for its’ music business degree program in a boost for aspiring musicians from ethnic minority backgrounds.
The Creative Music Production and Business Foundation degree is aimed at young people looking to gain a creative as well as commercial edge in an increasingly competitive industry where business nous is considered as important as musical talent.
The degree is also open to entrants with little or no previous qualifications and takes 2 years of full time study to complete.
The degree explores different areas of music production and the music industry before focusing on business development, personal development and career planning.
Since its establishment some 30 years ag CM (Community Music) has established itself as the foremost community music organization in the UK, providing creative opportunities for musicians from a variety of backgrounds through courses, live gigs, seminars and workshops.
