Now here’s an on-screen combination that’s sure to whet the appetites of fans of Indian cinema worldwide.
‘The Lunchbox’ star Nimrat Kaur is set to be paired opposite National Award-winning ‘Shahid’ actor Rajkummar Rao in a new film that’s been put together by super-producer Nikhil Advani.
As if the pairing of Kaur and Rao wasn’t enough, the film will be directed by the formidable Saurabh Shukla, the veteran actor, director and writer of the seminal gangster flick ‘Satya’.
Shukla has already revealed that the new film will be a ‘psychological thriller’ set in Kashmir.
The stunning Rajasthan-born Kaur has received plaudits around the world for her turn as ‘Ila’ the lonely housewife who cooks her way into the heart of Irrfan Khan’s ‘Saajan Fernandez.
Rao is undoubtedly the hottest property in Bollywood at the moment having bagged a prestigious National Award for his role as slain human rights lawyer Shahid Azmi in Hansal Mehta’s powerful drama ‘Shahid’.
The young actor is on a professional high having appeared in a string of critically praised hits, including ‘Kai Po Che!’, ‘Queen’ and ‘Citylights’.
