A Pakistani shop worker has allegedly stolen 252 iPhone 5’s from the O2 store where he worked in South London, according to the Daily Mail.
Usman Sethi, 23, reportedly drove off with the brand new phones – the latest version of the iconic handset, worth up to £170,000 – around 1.30 am this morning, hours before the phone officially went on sale.
A Metropolitan Police official told the newspaper that Sethi had driven off with several boxes containing the phones as well as a wad of cash.
Detectives say they also want to speak to Sethi, from Ilford, east London, in connection with missing jewellery taken from a member of his family at his home in Audley Gardens, Ilford.
Sethi is described as a Pakistani national, 6ft 1in tall and driving a grey Ford Mondeo.
