#ReImagined: Have a look at Anurag Basu’s interpretation of Tagore classics

Here’s a first look into acclaimed director Anurag Basu’s most ambitious project yet – a series of made-for-TV adaptations of stories by Rabindranath Tagore.

For the series, Basu – the filmmaker behind the likes of ‘Barfi!’, ‘Gangster’ and ‘Life in a Metro’ – gives his signature touch to some of the Nobel laureate’s most beloved stories including ‘Chokher Bali’, and ‘Charulata’.

In particular, the series will shed light on the roles played by women in the stories and life in general in old Bengal.
