The Labour Party’s candidate for London mayor – British-Pakistani human rights lawyer-turned-politician Sadiq Khan – is pulling ahead in the race after a new poll showed he enjoys a 7-point lead over Tory rival Zac Goldsmith.
Mr Khan polled 32 percent of voters against Mr Goldsmith’s 25 percent, according to YouGov.
The poll – released on Tuesday – also found that a quarter of London voters are still “undecided” on who to vote for.
Mr Khan’s lead has remained around the same margin since January, according to a survey of all polls.
Once those “undecided” voters and those who say the will not vote are taken out of the equation, Mr Khan’s lead extends to nice percent, according to YouGov.
