“Will strip for no one!” – Veena

10 days into the New Year and many feared Veena Malik may have gone into hibernation after exploding on to the scene with her FHM cover.  But fans need not worry as she has reappeared, this time in appropriately glitzy Dubai with another headline-making missive; this time confirming that she will categorically NOT strip off her barely there outfits under any circumstances; be it in Bollywood or Hollywood.  “I would never strip for any industry.  I think comments coming from the press and media are utterly silly.  I’m an actress and I will do what a particular role requires but that does not mean I will forget my values”, she declared emphatically.
Ms Malik is preparing for the much anticipated release of her debut item song ‘Channo’ in Nitin Manmohan’s ‘Gali Gali Chor Hai’ Veena who is looking forward to the release of her debut item song ‘ Channo’  in Nitin Manmohan’s – Gali Gali Chor Hai which will be unveiled in the next few days.
Veena certainly has high hopes for 2012, in particular making her mark in Bollywood.  “I have three films out this year, plus Swayamvar and other projects.  I have had many offers from international publications which require a bold shoot which I have politely refused.  I will henceforth only do work that suit my personality and style”, she adds.
Meanwhile, in spite of the fallout from her FHM cover which continues to simmer, Veena says she has made amends with her father and will be returning to Pakistan for a short visit.  “Every father has the right to tell their child off if they think they are wrong”, she says.  “But now my dad has cooled down and we are totally fine.”
After grabbing the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently, Ms Malik will take out her acting chops first with ‘Zindagi 50/50’ in which she plays a sex worker alongside Riya Sen, Supriya Kumari and Rajpal Yadav.  50/50 will be followed by ‘Daal Men Kuch Kaala Hai’  alongside veteran actors Vijay Raaz and Shakti Kapoor.
